Engaging. Provoking. Stimulating.
Engaging. Provoking. Stimulating.
Today’s young leaders.
As part of the 16th ASSITEJ World Congress and Performing Arts Festival, the Next Generation project brings together 25 young leaders from around the world who create, produce and manage theatre for children and young people.
The Next Generation team – Congress Director Jason Cross, Ade Suharto and Tony Mack – have recognised the leadership of participants from all corners of the globe and invited them to join their peers in Adelaide for a unique and exciting professional development opportunity.
Not only will these young leaders participate in Congress, the Festival, workshops and forums – facilitated by some of the world’s established leaders in theatre for children and young people – the Next Generation project will provide opportunities to make their leadership visible too.
The Next Generation project aims to create an opportunity for professional exchange, leading to increased cross-cultural artistic and organisational collaborations. It encourages the next generation of artistic leaders in their ownership of the youth arts sector and their desire to further leadership aspirations.
The 2008 Next Generation project is proudly supported by ASSITEJ International and through the Australian Government’s Young and Emerging Artists Initiative for artists aged 30 years and under.
