Playwright Slams

Home > Congress > Playwright Slams

Celebrating some of the world’s best plays for young audiences, the Playwright Slams are live readings by the playwright in a relaxed, cabaret setting. Each of the three Slams will consist of seven to eight plays, with one young playwright under 26 years of age, and each script being read for an average of ten minutes. Based on an American model, Congress organisers will be programming in collaboration with Kim Peter Kovac from the Kennedy Center, Washington D.C.

The Playwright Slams are free to all Congress delegates and more detailed information will be available later in April 2008.
