Adelaide Festival Centre’s iNSPACE Program and ASSITEJ 2008 presents Headlock. Set in a wrestling ring, Headlock catapults audiencesinto the lives of three brothers as one of them spends his first 24 hours in prison.
Headlock combines physical theatre, text, choreography and visual imagery with bouts of pure adrenaline and electrifying physicality from Byron Perry, Gerard Van Dyck and Luke Hockley as they slam home the image of an incarcerated man on the edge of everything, who is up for anything.
Headlock is a unique form of physical performance, exposing the lives of three ordinary young men and their most vulnerable and revealing moments. It examines the role and identity of masculinity in today’s world and the invisible armour that young men wear in order to survive.
This show has strong graphic language and sexual references
