Imagine learning the acting techniques used by one of the most prominent figures in 20th Century Theatre!

Dr Christel Hoffmann is a highly recognized German academic and practitioner of theatre for children and young people. Christel will lead two acclaimed workshops, based on the techniques used by Bertolt Brecht.

Brecht, a poet, playwright and drama teacher of the 20th Century, reformed the way theatre was presented to audiences, using “Epic Theatre” technique. This technique is recognised for the similarities to the manner in which children play and interact.

Christel has been presented these workshops around the world including Belgium and Iran, and will explore the methods of “Epic Theatre”, introducing participants to new and exciting ways to create epic theatre for children and family audiences!

Two separate workshops will be offered. One exclusively for teachers who work with drama and/or the performing arts and the second for practicing professional artists including performers, director and artistic
directors of companies.
